Regular Season Round 22: Obera - Olimpico 92-72

An interesting game took place in Obera where 9th ranked Olimpico (10-10) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked Obera (10-9) 92-72. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Olimpico. Obera shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. American guard Melvin Johnson (193-93, college: VCU) notched 30 points to lead the effort and the former international point guard Nicolas De los Santos (180-88) supported him with 14 points and 7 assists. Four Obera players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Elyjah Clark (190-98, college: MSSU) did not help to save the game for Olimpico. Point guard Juan Morales (183-94) added 15 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Obera moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Instituto. Olimpico at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. Obera will play against Riachuelo LR (#13) in La Rioja in the next round. Olimpico will play on the road against Comunicaciones in Mercedes and hopes to get back on the winning track.
