LDD top team - Comunicaciones (18-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Union (11-14) in Santa Fe 115-82. Comunicaciones made 20-of-22 charity shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Comunicaciones outrebounded Union 46-31 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Swingman Matias Nunez (191-99) nailed a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winning side and power forward Lucas Mercadino (204-3) accounted for 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Five Comunicaciones players scored in double figures. Lorenzo Micheloni (195-1) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and Jeronimo Muller (183-2) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively for Union in the defeat. Union's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Comunicaciones. They maintain first place with 18-2 record. Union lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Comunicaciones will play against Instituto (#3) in Cordoba in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Union will play at home against Quimsa (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
