An interesting game was also tough home defeat of 7th ranked Regatas in a game in Corrientes versus San Martin (#8) 77-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Regatas. The former international Leonardo Mainoldi (205-85) nailed 26 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Jonatan Machuca (184-89) accounted for 21 points and 4 assists. San Martin's coach Diego Vadell allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international point guard Nicolas Aguirre (189-88) came up with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Gary McGhee (210-88, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Inception Sports) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Regatas in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for San Martin. They moved-up to seventh place. Loser Regatas dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. San Martin will meet at home higher ranked Boca (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Regatas will play against Union SF (#14) and hope to secure a win.
