Regular Season Round 22: Atenas - Riachuelo LR 73-66

There was a minor upset in Cordoba where 10th ranked Riachuelo LR (11-11) was defeated by twelfth ranked Atenas (11-11) 73-66 on Thursday. Atenas forced 22 Riachuelo LR turnovers. Ignacio Segura (195-0) scored 13 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Marco Espindola (181-6) chipped in 6 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Atenas' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Mateo Corso (185-4) responded with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Colombian forward Yustin Llerena (195-2) scored 7 points and 13 rebounds. Atenas moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated Riachuelo LR. Riachuelo LR lost fourth consecutive game. Atenas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Riachuelo LR will play against Instituto (#5) in Cordoba and hope to secure a win.
