There was no surprise when 18th ranked Platense (4-19) lost to fourth ranked Obera (18-5) in Florida 77-89 on Friday. Obera dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Platense's 36. Obera forced 22 Platense turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for guard Francisco Tarnowyk (192-1) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Franco Fragozo (198-1) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Point guard Giuliano Michelangei (180-0) came up with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Tiago Coll (-2) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Platense in the defeat. Four Obera and five Platense players scored in double figures. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Obera. They moved-up to third place. Platense lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Gimnasia. Obera will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Platense will play against Obras (#8) and hope to secure a win.
