Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked La Union (8-12) lost on the road to fourth ranked Obera (18-5) 68-54 on Sunday. Obera dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to La Union's 20. Obera forced 25 La Union turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Santiago Konaszuk (188-99) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Stefano Alesso (211-3) accounted for 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winning side. Obera's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Jose Campoya (195-2) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Juan Medina (184-5) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for La Union in the defeat. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Obera. They moved-up to third place. Loser La Union keeps the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. Obera will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. La Union will play against Union (#12) and hope to secure a win.
