Regular Season Round 27: Quimsa - Riachuelo LR 78-76
Date: February 20, 2022
Very predictable result in Santiado del Estero where third ranked Quimsa (18-5) edged 13th ranked Riachuelo LR (11-14) 78-76 on Sunday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Quimsa looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Eric Anderson (204-1993, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 blocks. The former international point guard Juan Brussino (185-1991) helped adding 15 points and 7 assists. Quimsa's coach Sebastian Gonzalez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard Gary Ricks (185-1991, college: Drake) with 12 points and 7 assists and the former international swingman Miguel Gerlero (195-1988) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Quimsa keeps a position of league leader. Riachuelo LR lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with 14 games lost. Quimsa will meet at home Regatas (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Riachuelo LR will play against Obras (#9) in Buenos Aires and hope to secure a win.
