Regular Season Round 36: Instituto - Olimpico 93-87
Date: April 4, 2022
Very expected game in Cordoba where 10th ranked Olimpico (18-18) was defeated by fourth ranked Instituto (23-13) 93-87 on Monday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Luciano Gonzalez (186-1998) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 4 assists and the former international guard Nicolas Romano (200-1987) who added 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Italian center Damian Tintorelli (205-1981) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Venezuelan center Windi Graterol (204-1986, agency: Pro Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four Instituto and five Olimpico players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Instituto have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 23-13 record. Loser Olimpico keeps the tenth place with 18 games lost. Instituto will meet at home league's second-placed Gimnasia in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Olimpico will play against Atenas (#16) and hope to secure a win.
