No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Regatas (23-15) beat 16th ranked La Union (14-24) in Formosa 98-87 on Monday. The winners were led by the former international forward Facundo Pinero (202-1988) who scored that evening 24 points and the former international point guard Nicolas Aguirre (189-1988) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Even 19 points and 6 rebounds by naturalized Spanish guard Jonathan Maldonado (188-1990) did not help to save the game for La Union. Forward Patricio Tabarez (195-1991) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. La Union's coach Sebastian Ginobili tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Regatas have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Boca and San Martin. La Union at the other side dropped to the seventeenth position with 24 games lost. They share it with Argentino.
