Boca Jrs has registered their first victory this season after two consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Argentino (3-4) on the road game in Junin 57-44. Boca Jrs dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Argentino's 16. They outrebounded Argentino 41-24 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Santino Romegialli (204-2003) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and Tomas Sonnaillon accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Boca Jrs players scored in double figures. Luis Colon came up with 17 points and guard Augusto Gennero (188-2003) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Argentino in the defeat. Argentino's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Boca Jrs (1-2) left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with Penarol and Independ.O. It was Argentino's third loss in a row. They keep the eighth position with four games lost. Boca Jrs' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Buenos Aires to the arena Ferro.
