Regular Season Round 6: Quimsa - San Martin 81-50

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked San Martin (0-4) was outscored by fourth ranked Quimsa (5-2) in Santiago del Estero 81-50 on Friday. Quimsa outrebounded San Martin 37-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. Swingman Diego Collomb (192-2004) notched 28 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Dominican center Leonel Nunez (206-2004) supported him with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Quimsa's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 25 points and 5 rebounds by center Julian Lorca (207-2003) did not help to save the game for San Martin. Augusto DAndrea (188-2002) added 10 points. Quimsa have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser San Martin still closes the standings with four games lost. Quimsa will meet Platense (#15) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. San Martin will play against La Union (#19) in Formosa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
