Regular Season Round 6: La Union - Obras 82-76

La Union's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Obras (3-3) 82-76 on Friday. La Union well out of reach of Obras shooting 90.6 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for La Union especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 88.9 percentage. Point guard Agustin Sigel (165-2002) notched 24 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Franco Gimenez supported him with 15 points. Four La Union players scored in double figures. Even 20 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) by Chilean point guard Felipe Inyaco (192-2002) did not help to save the game for Obras. Swingman Lautaro Barrios (195-2004) added 22 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). La Union (1-5) left bottom position moving up to nineteenth place. Loser Obras dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with San Lorenzo. La Union will meet higher ranked Boca Jrs (#12) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Obras will have a break next round.
