Regular Season Round 6: Olimpico - San Martin 89-65
Date: October 30, 2022
Very expected game when bottom-ranked San Martin (0-4) was smashed by twelfth ranked Olimpico (3-2) in La Banda 89-65 on Sunday. Guard Sahir Abdala (185-2005) notched 21 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Augusto Morales (185-2003) supported him with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Olimpico's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points and 7 rebounds by Augusto DAndrea (188-2002) did not help to save the game for San Martin. Center Julian Lorca (207-2003) added 15 points and 8 rebounds. Olimpico moved-up to seventh place. Loser San Martin still closes the standings with four games lost. Olimpico will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. San Martin will play against La Union (#19) in Formosa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
