There was a surprise result in Santa Fe where eighteenth ranked Union SF (2-6) smashed higher ranked Argentino (4-7) 82-47 on Monday. Union SF held Argentino to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 46.8 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Argentino 47-31 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Ignacio Alessio (203-1987) stepped up and scored 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Juan Pablo Cantero (188-1982) chipped in 12 points and 5 assists.
