There was a surprise result when seventeenth ranked Jachal (2-8) won against at home higher ranked Dep Norte (6-6) 88-80 on Monday. Jachal dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Dep Norte's 36. Jachal had a 37-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by Juan Cognigni who scored that evening 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Pablo Aaron (199-2000) supported him with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 19 points and 4 assists by guard Jeremias Cardona (188-2002) did not help to save the game for Dep Norte. Franco Borsellino added 12 points and 10 assists for lost side. Five Jachal and four Dep Norte players scored in double figures. Jachal moved-up to sixteenth place. Dep Norte at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Quilmes MP. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
