The game between closely ranked teams ended with 16th ranked Platense's (5-8) road loss to fifteenth ranked Penarol (5-5) in Mar del Plata 61-83 on Tuesday. The winners were led by guard Facundo Cabrera (185-2001) who scored that evening 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Facundo Tolosa (190-2002) supported him with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Penarol players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 24 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) by point guard Felipe Massa (184-2002) did not help to save the game for Platense. Swingman Mariano Goicoechea (195-2004) added 17 points for lost side. Penarol moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Riachuelo LR. Loser Platense keeps the sixteenth position with eight games lost. Penarol will meet Union (#15) in the next round. Platense will play against Comunicaciones in Mercedes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
