Very predictable result when third ranked San Isidro (13-2) rolled over 9th ranked CAO Ceres (6-9) in San Francisco 78-57 on Friday. San Isidro outrebounded CAO Ceres 52-33 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-1997) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Center Jeremias Diotto (204-2002) accounted for 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Four San Isidro players scored in double figures. San Isidro's coach Daniel Beltramo felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Point guard Manuel Alonso (195-1999, agency: BIG) came up with 16 points and Jose Bione (200-1998) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for CAO Ceres in the defeat. San Isidro moved-up to second place. Loser CAO Ceres keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. San Isidro will meet Colon SF (#5) in the next round. CAO Ceres will have a break next round.
