La Liga Argentina top team - Ameghino (14-2) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Colon SF (9-6) in Villa Maria 98-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Colon SF. Ameghino dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Colon SF's 48. They outrebounded Colon SF 37-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. Ameghino looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Colon SF's players. It was a quality performance for power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (200-1988) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field).
