Regular Season Round 20: Dep Norte - Ameghino 74-70

There was a change at the La Liga Argentina leadership position after last games. Round 20 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Ameghino (14-3). They were defeated by sixth ranked Dep Norte (8-7) 74-70 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Ameghino. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Aquiles Montani (190-1994) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds and Franco Borsellino who added 16 points and 6 assists during the contest. Power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (200-1988) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and Matias Martinez scored 17 points. Ameghino's coach Pablo Castro tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Dep Norte maintains sixth position with 8-7 record. Ameghino at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Racing. Ameghino will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Dep Norte will try to continue on its current victory against sixteenth ranked Echague in Parana.
