There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Pilar (6-10) outleveled at home higher ranked Pico FC (7-11) 88-62 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was Greek-American forward Tommy Demogerontas (203-1997, college: IUP) who scored 30 points and 9 rebounds. Eduardo Gamboa (189-1984) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. Four Pilar players scored in double figures. Guard Agustin Bualo (182-1995) produced 12 points and 5 rebounds and Franco Zalabardo (190-1991) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pilar moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Pico FC at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
