Regular Season Round 3: Ferro - Rocamora 69-55

Very important is a road loss of Rocamora (2-4) against Ferro (2-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Rocamora was defeated by Ferro in Olavarria 69-55. Ferro forced 22 Rocamora turnovers. Strangely Rocamora outrebounded Ferro 41-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Pilar Carra who led the winners and scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Lucila Sampietro (176-2003, college: Otero JC) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Ines Fernandez came up with 12 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Antonella Gonzalez (155-1990) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Rocamora in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ferro will meet Obras in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rocamora will play against Dep.Berazategui and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
