The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Quimsa as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Quimsa defeated 5th ranked Instituto in Santiado del Estero 58-43. Power forward Johana Puchetti (180-1987) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Sofia Acevedo (167-2001) contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international swingman Agustina Garcia (173-1996, agency: BIG) answered with 10 points and power forward Julia Centurion (190-2000) added 6 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Instituto. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Union Florida. Instituto at the other side dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Ferro and Olimpico. Instituto will play next round against strong Riachuelo LR trying to get back on the winning streak. Quimsa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
