Regular Season Round 36: Ciclista - Lanus 76-75

Fifth-ranked Lanus (15-9) gave a tough game to third ranked Ciclista (20-8) in Juninense on Saturday. Ciclista managed to secure only one-point victory 76-75. However their fans expected easier game. Ciclista made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Lanus helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Manuel Lambrisca (192-1997) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Lisandro Fernandez (194-1998, agency: BIG) who added 19 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Jorge Banegas (190-1993, agency: BIG) with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Mariano Gago (188-2001) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ciclista moved-up to second place. Lanus at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with H.Americano. Ciclista will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lanus will play at home against Del Progreso (#15) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
