Regular Season Round 32: San Lorenzo - Platense 100-61

There was a surprise result when nineteenth ranked San Lorenzo (7-22) rolled over higher ranked Platense (15-11) in Almagro 100-61 on Thursday. San Lorenzo dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Platense's 26. The winners were led by naturalized Italian swingman Federico Marin (199-1982) who scored that evening 16 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Lucas Perez (184-1987) supported him with 18 points. Four San Lorenzo players scored in double figures. Even 13 points by point guard Enzo Cafferata (186-1988) did not help to save the game for Platense. Forward Sebastian Morales (202-1988) added 9 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. San Lorenzo moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Comunicaciones. Platense lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. San Lorenzo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Platense will play against Comunicaciones (#17) in Mercedes and hope to secure a win.
