Regular Season Round 42: Obera - Penarol 89-60

LDD top team - Obera (28-4) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Penarol (17-11) 89-60. Obera dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Penarol's 26. Obera forced 19 Penarol turnovers. Guard Francisco Tarnowyk (192-2001) scored 24 points to lead the charge for the winners and Nicolas Quiroga (191-2003) chipped in 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Obera's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Facundo Tolosa (190-2002) with 21 points and 5 rebounds and Ignacio Bednarek (206-2001) scored 9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Obera maintains first position with 28-4 record. Penarol lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost. Obera are looking forward to face Olimpico (#19) in La Banda in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Penarol will have a break next round.
