There was an upset in Bahia Blanca where higher ranked Lanus (16-14) was defeated by twelfth ranked Villa Mitre (14-17) 80-67 on Tuesday. Worth to mention a great performance of center Juan Bollo (203-1992) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Jano Martinez (180-2003) who added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists during the contest. Four Villa Mitre players scored in double figures. Jorge Banegas (190-1993, agency: BIG) responded with 13 points and 7 assists and forward Martin Franchino (201-1993) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Lanus' coach Sebastian Saborido tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Villa Mitre have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place. Loser Lanus keeps the sixth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Independiente. Villa Mitre will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lanus will play against Pico FC (#12) in General Pico and hope to secure a win.
