No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Regatas (20-12) beat 8th ranked Penarol (19-12) in Mar del Plata 64-56 on Saturday. Regatas outrebounded Penarol 37-25 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Fabio Gauto (190-2002) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Dominican Rey Abad (210-2002) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Facundo Tolosa (190-2002) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and forward Nicolas Chiaraviglio (199-2004) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Penarol in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Regatas. They maintain fifth place with 20-12 record. Loser Penarol dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost.
