Regular Season Round 44: Boca - Platense 84-58
Date: April 10, 2023
Rather expected game when 9th ranked Platense (19-15) was smashed by sixth ranked Boca (22-13) in Buenos Aires 84-58. Boca outrebounded Platense 47-29 including a 41-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Leonel Schattmann (193-1987) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Marcos Mata (202-1986) who added 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Boca players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Alejandro Alloatti (203-1984) responded with 8 points and 5 rebounds and Santiago Barrales (189-1998) scored 4 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Boca maintains sixth position with 22-13 record. Platense lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 15 games lost. Boca will play against Union SF (#19) in Santa Fe in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Platense will play on the road against the league's leader Instituto (#1) in Cordoba and hopes to get back on the winning track.
