Eighteenth-ranked Union (8-26) gave a tough game to eleventh ranked Boca Jrs (19-17) in Buenos Aires. Boca Jrs managed to secure only three-point victory 75-72. However their fans expected much easier game. Boca Jrs dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Union's 30. They outrebounded Union 29-15 including 19 on the defensive glass. Boca Jrs players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Nicolas Burgos (207-2003) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Santino Romegialli (204-2003) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Boca Jrs' coach Juan Fernandez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Matias Reynoso (187-2005) came up with 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Lorenzo Micheloni (195-2001) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Union in the defeat. Four Union players scored in double figures. Boca Jrs have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to tenth place. Union lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth position with 26 games lost. Boca Jrs will play against higher ranked Penarol (#7) in Mar del Plata in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Union will play on the road against San Lorenzo (#13) in Almagra and hopes to get back on the winning track.
