Regular Season Round 2: Comunicaciones - Riachuelo LR 97-79

Comunicaciones defeated Riachuelo LR in Mercedes 97-79. Comunicaciones shot 60.7 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Comunicaciones especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. American point guard Keron DeShields (190-1992, college: Tennessee St., agency: Diamond Sports) scored 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Marcus Thomas (191-1995, college: Rosemont) chipped in 23 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four Comunicaciones players scored in double figures. American forward Stephen Maxwell (201-1993, college: CSUN) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and forward Santiago Arese (196-1987) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Riachuelo LR will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Comunicaciones will try to continue on its current victory against Platense in Florida.
