Regular Season Round 3: Penarol - Boca Jrs. 67-85

Boca Jrs (3-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat Penarol (2-2) in Mar del Plata 85-67. Boca Jrs dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Penarol's 34. Boca Jrs forced 20 Penarol turnovers and outrebounded them 50-36 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Penarol's players. Boca Jrs brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a great evening for forward Tiziano Prome (201-2005) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 9 rebounds. Federico Contrera (-2006) helped adding 13 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. The best for the losing side was forward Nicolas Chiaraviglio (199-2004) with 25 points and 8 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and point guard Gian Rossi (185-2005) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Penarol's coach Tomas Sirochinsky rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Boca Jrs will play against Gimnasia CR in Comodoro Rivadavia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Penarol will have a break next round.
