An interesting game where host Zarate (#8) won against 4th placed Boca Jrs 87-80 on Wednesday evening. Zarate forced 19 Boca Jrs turnovers. Forward Juan Ibarra (197-2004) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and guard Sahir Abdala (185-2005) chipped in 22 points. Center Nicolas Burgos (207-2003) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Tomas Sonnaillon (195-2004) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Boca Jrs players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Zarate maintains eighth place with 2-1 record, which they share with La Union. Boca Jrs lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Zarate will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Boca Jrs will play against Platense (#18) and hope to secure a win.
