Everything went according to plan when fifth rankedPilar (4-1) defeated at home 10th ranked Ameghino (3-5) 76-59 on Sunday. The winners were led by American center Dishon Lowery (200-1998, college: OKBU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and Puerto Rican guard Jesus Cruz (196-1998, college: Fairfield) supported him with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Four Pilar players scored in double figures. Pilar's coach Roberto Pavlotsky used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 9 points and 9 rebounds by forward Abel Aristimuno (195-1991, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Ameghino . Point guard Fermin Thygesen (186-1998) added 15 points for the guests. Pilar moved-up to third place, which they share with Rivadavia. Ameghino lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost.
