There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where 6th rankedComunicaciones (9-6) was defeated by fourth ranked Boca Jrs (10-4) 89-75 on Thursday. Boca Jrs. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Comunicaciones ' 22. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Boca Jrs. made 7 blocks. Center Nicolas Burgos (207-2003) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners.
