There was a surprise result in Chivilcoy where ninth rankedVilla Mitre (8-7) defeated 4th placed Racing (9-7) 80-76 on Wednesday. Villa Mitre had a 36-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Franco Pennacchiotti (205-1990) who scored 28 points and 9 rebounds. Federico Harina (186-1991) chipped in 23 points and 7 rebounds. Four Villa Mitre players scored in double figures. Villa Mitre's coach Gaston Fernandez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Alejo Barrales (174-1991) who recorded 18 points and 4 assists and point guard Miguel De (176-1997, agency: BIG) added 20 points respectively. Villa Mitre have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with GELP. Loser Racing keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Villa Mitre will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Racing will play against Lanus (#5) in Buenos Aires and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
