LeaderGimnasia CR delivered the twenty fifth win on Friday night. This time they crushed 12th ranked Penarol (13-18) 83-60 in Comodoro Rivadavia. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Penarol. Gimnasia forced 19 Penarol turnovers. The best player for the winners was Dominican swingman Angel Reyes (201-2002) who scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Cuban swingman Marcos Chacon (194-2003, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Gimnasia CR's coach Gustavo Sapochnik felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Gian Rossi (185-2005) produced 23 points and forward Nicolas Chiaraviglio (199-2004) added 21 points respectively for the guests. Gimnasia CR (25-3) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Penarol at the other side keeps the twelfth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with San Lorenzo.
