Regular Season Round 8: La Union - Regatas 72-104

LDD top team -Regatas (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked La Union (2-2) in Formosa 104-72 . Regatas dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to La Union 's 30. They outrebounded La Union 43-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by point guard Exequiel Lezcano (180-2007) who scored that evening 20 points and 5 rebounds and Alan Ledesma supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Regatas players scored in double figures. Even 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Augusto Moresco did not help to save the game for La Union . Thiago Gronda added 22 points for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Regatas have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. La Union at the other side keeps the eleventh place with two games lost.
