Regular Season Round 11: Montmartre - Gorriones 62-72

There was no surprise in Catamarca where 6th ranked Montmartre (1-8) was defeated by second ranked Gorriones (5-4) 72-62 on Sunday. It was a great evening for guard Valentina Numa (173-2000, agency: BIG) who led her team to a victory scoring 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Candela Ruffino (184-1994) helped adding 9 points and 13 rebounds. Maitena Merino responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Maria Acevedo (170-1993) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Newly promoted Gorriones maintains second place with 5-4 record having seven points less than leader Riachuelo, which they share with Instituto and Chanares. Montmartre lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Gorriones will meet at home league's leader Riachuelo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Montmartre will have a break next round.
