Regular Season Round 14: La Union - Zarate 80-70

Not a big story in a game in Formosa where 16th ranked Zarate (3-6) was defeated by twelfth ranked La Union (5-4) 80-70 on Tuesday. La Union forced 21 Zarate turnovers. The best player for the winners was Augusto Moresco who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Thiago Gronda chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds. Four La Union players scored in double figures. La Union's coach Felix Medina used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Gino Sciamanna produced 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks and Valentin Monzon added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. La Union moved-up to ninth place. Loser Zarate keeps the sixteenth position with six games lost. They share it with San Lorenzo. La Union will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Zarate will play against San Martin (#20) in Corrientes and hope to secure a win.
