Fourth defeat of league's leaderRiachuelo (10-4) against fifth ranked Quimsa (10-4) 81-74 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Riachuelo LR. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Quimsa dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Riachuelo LR 's 24. 24 personal fouls committed by Riachuelo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American center Arnold Louis (201-1990, college: SSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Bahamas center Tavario Miller (203-1994, college: Texas A&M) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Miller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Quimsa players scored in double figures. Point guard Juan Corbalan (185-1998) answered with 28 points and American guard Nathan Priddy (188-1999, college: Elon) added 20 points in the effort for Riachuelo. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Quimsa have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Riachuelo.
