Sixth-rankedVilla Mitre (8-12) was very close to win a game against second ranked Pico FC (12-7) in General Pico on Sunday. Pico FC managed to secure only one-point victory 76-75 . However their fans expected much easier game. Pico FC forced 19 Villa Mitre turnovers. Strangely Villa Mitre outrebounded Pico FC 49-36 including 36 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by forward Juan Martin Bello (200-1999) who scored that evening 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Pablo Alderete (203-1993) supported him with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Pico FC players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 25 points and 19 rebounds by power forward Franco Pennacchiotti (205-1990) did not help to save the game for Villa Mitre . Ignacio Alem (199-2001) added 17 points for the guests. Villa Mitre's coach Hernan Ferrero tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Pico FC have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-7 record having just one point less than leader Comunicaciones. Villa Mitre lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 12 games lost.
