No shocking result in a game when thirteenth ranked Olimpico (7-9) beat 19th ranked Gimnasia CR (3-14) in Comodoro Rivadavia 96-90 on Thursday. Olimpico had a 34-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Enzo Facelli (-2003) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Augusto Morales (185-2003) supported him with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Even 23 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals by guard Valentino Ayala (190-2005) did not help to save the game for Gimnasia. Natalio Santacroce added 22 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Five Olimpico and four Gimnasia players scored in double figures. Olimpico maintains thirteenth position with 7-9 record, which they share with San Lorenzo. Gimnasia lost fifth consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the nineteenth place with 14 games lost. Olimpico will meet at home higher ranked Platense (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Gimnasia will play against Instituto (#11) and hope to secure a win.
