No shocking result in a game when fourth rankedUnion Florida (3-2) crushed at home 6th ranked Rocamora (1-4) 68-46 on Sunday. Union Florida outrebounded Rocamora 51-31 including a 38-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by the former international forward Carla Miculka (174-1993) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and guard Giuliana Baccarelli (165-2004) supported her with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Paula Santini (165-2006) did not help to save the game for Rocamora . Power forward Nerea Schmidt (174-1995) added 8 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Union Florida have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 3-2 record. Rocamora lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with four games lost. Union Florida will meet Lanus (#8) on the road in the next round. Rocamora will play against El Talar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
