Regular Season Round 32: La Union - Penarol 64-61

There was no surprise in Formosa where 14th ranked Penarol (9-15) was edged by eleventh ranked La Union (11-11) 64-61 on Sunday. La Union forced 27 Penarol turnovers. The best player for the winners was Thiago Gronda who scored 14 points and 5 steals. Ecuadorian guard Janer Arcila (172-2004) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Point guard Gian Rossi (185-2005) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Martin Chapero (205-2007) added 7 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks respectively for the guests. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. La Union moved-up to tenth place. Penarol lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. La Union will meet higher ranked Obras (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
