There was an upset in Colon where leaderQuilmes (7-1) was defeated by fifth ranked La Union (5-2) 90-83 on Wednesday. La Union dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Quilmes ' 36. It was a great evening for Rodrigo Acuna (198-1995) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Naturalized Italian point guard Alvaro Merlo (184-1995) helped adding 15 points and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international center Juan De La Fuente (195-2000) with 19 points and point guard Santiago Luduena (178-1993) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. La Union moved-up to third place, which they share with Provincial and Centenario VT. Loser Quilmes still keeps top position with one game lost.
