Venezuelan center Jesus Centeno (205-2006) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds. point guard Jose Copesky (184-2006) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Gimnasia CR players scored in double figures. Pablo Spies answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Segundo Astulfi added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Union. Gimnasia maintains ninth place with 9-9 record. Union at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with Quimsa.
