Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth rankedEstudiantes T. and 13th ranked Jujuy had identical 7-7 record. But Jujuy was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from San Miguel de Tucuman 94-77 . Estudiantes T. forced 19 Jujuy turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Jujuy was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Elias Cave (201, college: Minot St.) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Juan Bollo (203-1992) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Estudiantes T. players scored in double figures. Guard Ramiro Stehli (190-2002) replied with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Santiago Ibarra (198-1998) added 21 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Jujuy. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Estudiantes T. (8-7) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Lanus. Jujuy lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Riojana.
