There was no surprise in Rio Cuarto where 17th rankedSan Jose (1-6) was defeated by eleventh ranked Gorriones (4-3) 61-50 . Gorriones outrebounded San Jose 42-29 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Lucia Pispieiro who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Uruguayan guard Joaquina Gregorio (168-2001, agency: BIG) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Gorriones players scored in double figures. point guard Virginia Peralta (172-2006, agency: BIG) replied with 15 points and Lourdes Cabral added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for San Jose. San Jose's coach Cristian Santander rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gorriones have a solid four-game winning streak.
