There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where 10th rankedUnion Florida (6-5) was crushed by fourth ranked Obras (9-2) 74-45 on Tuesday. Obras held Union Florida to an opponent 24.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.0 percent accuracy of the winners. It was a great evening for the former international center Natassja Kolff (188-2004) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. International Candela Gentinetta (181-2001) helped adding 9 points and 9 rebounds. Four Obras players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Maria Laviero (172-1996) responded with 3 points and 10 rebounds and Colombian guard Myriam Alonso (175-1992) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Obras moved-up to second place. Union Florida at the other side keeps the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Gorriones.
