No shocking result in a game when twelfth rankedAvellaneda (6-6) smashed at home bottom-ranked Riachuelo (0-12) 76-38 on Tuesday. Avellaneda held Riachuelo to an opponent 22.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.0 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Riachuelo 65-30 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Uruguayan center Selena Medrick (177-2002) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Power forward Milagros Morell (191-2007) helped adding 17 points. Avellaneda's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Catalina Fessia (-2006) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Maria Acevedo (170-1993) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Avellaneda . They maintain twelfth place with 6-6 record. Riachuelo lost their twelfth game in a row. They still close the standings with 12 games lost.
